The media agency Mindsquared, owned by Karel Komárek’s KKCG investment group, has acquired a 100% stake in the communications agency Communication Lab (Commlab). With this move, Mindsquared is expanding its services for clients to include public relations, social media, and the organization of media events.
Mindsquared, led by Petra Pipková, is one of the largest media and communications agencies in the Czech Republic. It has a total of more than 65 employees and over 80 clients. “Expanding our group to include a major PR agency was a natural step that reflected the growing demand for full-service media solutions. We view PR as a key area that complements our consulting services and will strengthen our strategic approach toward existing and, above all, new clients,” explains Petra Pipková, CEO of Mindsquared.
Commlab was founded 11 years ago by Michaela Studená, Jiří Ďurovič, and Jan Skalník. The agency will continue to operate under its own name with its existing team of over 20 people. Studená will continue to serve as CEO, Jiří Ďurovič as Managing Director, and Jan Skalník as COO. “The merger with Mindsquared is a strategic culmination of our previous project collaborations. The integration will give our clients access to comprehensive services in media buying, media planning, digital marketing and specialized data expertise. Being part of a large communications group is, of course, also a challenge for us, one that we greatly value,” summarizes Michaela Studená, CEO of Commlab and co-founder of the Pod Svícnem initiative focused on combating domestic violence.
In addition to integrating services, Mindsquared plans to work with Commlab to develop new offerings. For example, by developing technological and analytical tools that will enable the agency to respond even more effectively to changes and trends in communications and the digital environment. “AI is significantly transforming and accelerating our segment. At the same time, however, it is even more important for brands to be clear, trustworthy, and creative,” adds Petra Pipková. With these steps, Mindsquared is strengthening its position in the strategic consulting and business growth segment, which falls under the Diversified Ventures pillar within the KKCG Group.
